L is for the way he looks at me...

Happy Valentine's day pineappleites! Today we are talking about... can you guess it? Yeahhhh good job... love. Specifically how some people tend to make up their own definition of love. But what do we do when we have a question? THAT'SSSS RIGHT! Turn to the Bible, and today we will be taking a glance at one of my favorite chapters. 1 Corinthians 13:4.

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1 Corinthians 13:4‭-‬7 ESV

Now, can you think of someone in you life, maybe even yourself, that has either twisted or completely thrown away this definition of love, and used it for their own sake? I can think of several people I know, who have failed to live out God's version of love, the best version, and have had relationships burn and crash as result.

As Christians especially need to recognize when we ourselves fail to live with this love. You can tell someone you "love" them, you can show someone you "love" them, you can write them a lovey-dovey card, give them a teddy bear and chocolate, and say you "love" them.

But what if they still don't feel loved because you were giving them your definition of love, and not Gods?

That's all for now guys, I hope you took something out of this. I encourage you all to look to your own Bible, and continue studying this topic. Have a good rest of your day!
