"O rash ignorance and littleness of man" - Galileo Galilei
#BibleBased
Today Pinappleites I would like to talk to you about a worldwide issue, human ignorance. Now I don't know about you, but I live in a world where everyone I meet seems to think they know it all, including myself sometimes, and I thought I would address it today.
You see, I witness so many people argue with each other over what is right and wrong. I just wonder what they are using as their moral compass. I know with media pushing all these worldly views on us, like a child pours ketchup on their chicken nuggets, it is hard to know right from wrong. There are even different denominations in the Church today, because people are so scared of being wrong or offending someone, that they refuse to talk it out and end up leaving the Church, creating so many different splits.
I wish they realized Jesus did not say follow Christians, he said "follow me!" See, the only moral compass we need as Christians is God and the Bible. Quite frankly I't see many people using it. Some people tell you the Bible is false, okay then what is true? If I were to ask 10 of you to send me a story about "Fred" (keep in mind you get no more context), and you all did, would any of you stories line up in the slightest? No, they wouldn't, would they? But somehow 2 testaments, 66 books, 929 chapters, and 31,103 verses, just "happen" to align with each other? I see how someone could be so ignorant to say the Bible can't be true though, especially considering how some people twist the Bible to fit their own standards, and some "Christians" aren't even trying to live for Jesus (not that anyone will ever be perfect, but some people just don't even seem to be trying).
Once I saw someone online try to say that all the verses about Homosexuality had just been mistranslated. Don't they understand that God can, and will, preserve his book? I have seen Christians give the OK for abortion, Haven't they read the 6th commandment "Thou shall not murder"? You will hear all of these lies from the world, but as followers of Christ we need to look to God for wisdom first.
So in conclusion, I am not perfect, humans are not perfect, but I believe we should strive to be less ignorant, and start caring about what the Bible actually says because it is a gift from God that no man should twist just to fit the latest trend.
